How We Collect
Receiving glasses donations from different glasses shops or optometry clinics is a key component of our project to create real social change. We will connect with local glasses shops, optometrist clinics, community centers, libraries, and schools to propose the setup of a donation box at that location. We plan to possibly expand the donation locations nationally to maximize the number of used glasses and ultimately help more people. With the help of student volunteers, we may conduct door-to-door collection, targeting middle-class neighborhoods in our local communities.
Long Term Impact
By tackling the inaccessibility and unaffordability of eyewear for individuals with visual impairments in low-income households and developing countries, we aim to address equitable access to healthcare and disability rights. We are constantly striving to achieve inclusivity and improve the quality of life for those in need, and providing proper vision correction is one of the crucial steps in doing so. We hope this project creates a lasting impact for 10+ years from now.
